Lawyer from Morristown Firm Given High Title at College

He is a shareholder in the Morristown law firm of McKirdy & Riskin

A local lawyer has been elected as the president of the Franklin & Marshall College Alumni Association Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

Anthony F. DellaPelle , Esq., graduated Franklin & Marshall in 1984 and served on the Board of Directors for six years.  As alumni association president, he also serves on the College Board of Trustees, ex oficio, for a two-year term. 

Della Pelle and his wife Gwenn, also a Franklin & Marshall alumna, have three children and live in Morris Township.

DellaPelle is a shareholder in the Morristown law firm of McKirdy & Riskin, PA, where he specializes in eminent domain, redevelopment and real estate tax appeal law.  He is a Certified Civil Trial attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court and is a designated member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE). 

“I am honored and humbled to serve my alma mater as president of our Alumni Association Board for the forthcoming year,” he said. “Franklin & Marshall’s distinguished place in higher education has made it one of the finest liberal arts colleges in the country for more than 225 years, and I hope to continue the efforts of those before me to work with the college administration to enhance the welfare of all of our alumni, current students and their families for years to come.”

DellaPelle has been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey as an expert in real estate valuation matters and is the only New Jersey attorney to serve as a representative for Owners Counsel of America, a nationwide association of leading property rights lawyers.

His honors don’t end there; DellaPelle has been recognized by his peers as a “New Jersey Super Lawyer” as published in New Jersey Monthly magazine. He served on Gov. Chris Christie’s transition team in 2009, and was appointed by Christie as a Commissioner of the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority in 2010.  DellaPelle also serves as Vice- President of the New Jersey Hall of Fame Foundation.
