Time for Tea

The Morris County Historical Society held its annual President's Members Tea on Sunday, February 23, 2014. The tea was attended by some of the MCHS's most committed members, including Mr. Learned T. "Dag" Bulman. Mr. Bulman celebrated his 91st birthday with the MCHS. Of the gifts he received, the most notable would be an American flag that flew over the United States capital. This flag was given to Mr. Bulman by Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, in honor of all Mr. Bulman has done for the Morris County community. Many of Mr. Bulman's friends were in attendance, and we thank them for making his birthday very special indeed.

The President's Members Tea is a time for the MCHS to reflect upon our accomplishments for the year 2013. It is important to note that much of what we have accomplished now could not have been possible without Mr. Bulman's dedication and donations to the MCHS. Mr. Bulman once worked as a board member and archivist here at the MCHS and during his time here he donated many priceless items to our collection. To honor Mr. Bulman, the MCHS dedicated its archives and library to him.

The President's Members Tea is an important event used by the MCHS to expose existing and potential members to the Society's mission.
