Homeless Solutions of Morris County recently received a generous grant to further its shelter programs and services.
The Charles Lafitte Foundation granted the non-profit organization $10,000, according to a press release from Homeless Solutions.
“We’re so appreciative of the generous donation from the Charles Lafitte Foundation,” said Dr. Elizabeth Hall, Homeless Solutions president in a statement. “The grant will have a tangible impact on the guests in our shelter, helping to fund a case manager in our family program who works diligently to make life as normal as possible for the young children we help during extremely challenging times in their lives."
Homeless Solutions has supported the homeless and working poor in Morris County for more than 30 years. In 2013 alone the organization sheltered 313 people, including 54 children. Affordable rental housing was made available for 117 tenants.
The Charles Lafitte Foundation supports innovative and effective ways of helping people help themselves and others around them to achieve healthy, satisfying and enriched lives, the statement said.
