Former JCP&L Employee, Korean War Veteran Passes

Arthur Bramley died Nov. 8 at the age of 78.

A 25 year employee of JCP&L in Morristown passed away Nov. 8 at the age of 78 in his home. Arthur J. Bramley, Jr. was born in the Bronx, grew up in Bogota and lived in Lake Hiawatha for 24 years before moving to Pocono Pines, PA in 1988, according to Par-Troy Funeral Home.

He got his BS in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was an Electrical Engineer for JCP&L in Morristown for 25 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member and usher at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Pocono Pines.

Bramley served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from Aug. 26, 1952 until being honorably discharged as Corporal on Aug. 25, 1955.

He was pre-deceased by his brothers: Kenny and Dennis and his sister, Marlene.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bernadette (nee-Mackey); his sons: Thomas, John, Brian & his wife, Amy, Matthew and his wife, Marina, Brendan and his wife, Michele and Christopher and his wife, Samantha; his brother and sisters: Ronnie, Phyllis, Karen, Lynn and Patricia; and his 12 grandchildren.

His Liturgy of Christian burial was last Thursday at Saint Peter the Apostle R.C. Church and his interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
