The Paleo lifestyle is based on biological, physiological, and anthropological science. It focuses on the way your body is genetically designed to eat- clean protein, vegetables, fruit, nuts, berries, and seeds. It avoids foods your body is not designed to eat (inflammatory!) gluten, dairy, grains, and processed foods. It’s about fresh, real, natural, quality food that you can hunt and gather on your own!
The CDC reports that 1 in every 2 American’s is chronically ill. 90% of chronic disease is lifestyle related. That means that 90% of chronic disease such has heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune problems, and cancer can be prevented through healthy lifestyle choices. When shifting away from foods our body is at odds with (dairy, grains, gluten, processed foods), we reduce inflammation and increase intake of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. You are literally what you eat.
