What Should Occupy the Former Colonial Bar?

For a while, signs adorned the windows of the former , seeking a new tenant. Recently, however, those signs have come down. So, either this edition of "Occupy This Space" is like the rest or an attempt to fish out details on a new business.

For many, Colonial Bar & Liquors was a neighborhood alternative to flashier libation destinations. While they did not serve food, customers often were welcome to grab a slice (or, a whole pie) from and bring it in to enjoy with their pints. People knew people by first name.

And then, after many, many years, .

Since then, this former watering hole at the corner of Atno and Washington has lain fallow, while its vintage, dusty tables and chairs lay scattered here and there inside.
