3 Morristown Men Busted for Heroin, Crack at Rt. 80 Traffic Stop, Cops Say

Driver initially pulled over for not maintaining lane, police report.

Three men from Morristown and a woman from Landing were arrested Wednesday night when police found suspected heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the car they were driving, Fairfield police reported.

Kenneth Widdis, 27, was stopped at 9:55 p.m. for not maintaining his lane near a construction zone, police said. During an investigation, police found Widdis and his passengers: Jonathan Hummer, 28; Robert Carbonell, 35, both of Morristown; and Shirlyn Holinko, 25, of Landing were all under the influence of drugs, police said.

After the occupants gave conflicting stories of their whereabouts, a search of the vehicle allegedly revealed suspected heroin, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Hummer was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a hypodermic needle. Carbonell was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Holinko was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Widdis was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle, and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Widdis was also charged with failure to maintain lane, being an unlicensed driver and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. Hummer had an active warrant from Morristown Municipal Court and Widdis had an active arrest warrant out of Montville Municipal Court.
