33 Cited for Urinating During Morris St. Pat's Parade

Violations could be worth more than $16,000 to Morristown.

Public urination could be worth thousands to Morristown's coffers.

Police issued 33 such summonses March 10 at the Morris County St. Patrick's Day parade, which if paid, could net Morristown $16,500, nj.com reports.

The mimimum fine for public urination or defecation is $500, up from $250 in prior years. Last year, Morristown collected about $12,000 from various summonses during the annual parade attended by thousands.

A total of 52 summonses were handed out Saturday — 33 for public urination, 17 for public drinking and two for soliciting without a permit, nj.com reports. Police also made five arrests — one for simple assault, two for possession of marijuana, one for trespassing and one for disorderly conduct.
