Ejected Bar Patron Fakes Seizure at Police Station, Cops Say

Summit resident 'slammed his head' into the door of the processing room, according to Morristown Police.

A 27-year-old Summit man was charged with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass after he refused to leave the Iron Bar on New Year's, Morristown Police said.

Officer Darius Harrison's report said Gary Conger refused to leave the Iron Bar after being ejected, and when asked to leave by officers, he began "yelling and cursing in the presence of a large crowd."

After being arrested and brought to Morristown Police Headquarters for processing, Conger "intentionally slammed his head against the door" of the processing room, the report said.

According to Harrison, Conger "appeared to start having a seizure" while he was sitting on the bench of the processing room and was transported to Morristown Medical Center for further evaluation.

Once at Morristown Medical Center, Conger said he faked the seizure, the report said.

Harrison said Conger was charged with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass before being turned over to medical staff at the hospital.
