Clearview Cinema Evacuates, No Injuries

Morristown Fire Department responded to the theater because of an odor believed to be a form of mace or pepper spray.

Clearview Cinema Theater at Headquarters Plaza was evacuated Sunday night and there were no injuries, as reported by NJ.com.

Spokeswoman Krista Ostertag said it was a minor incident that local authorities are looking into and that the theater has reopened, but did not specifically describe the incident as an evacuation.

However, NJ.com writes that according to the Daily Record, Morristown Fire Chief Robert Flanagan says the Morristown Fire Department responded to the theater because of an odor he believed was a form of mace or pepper spray — though he had not personally been present at the theater. One theater was evacuated, according to the report.
