A Parsippany man faces charges of aggrivated assault after allegedly taking a swing at a Morristown officer.
Police said Paul Beach, 27, of Parsippany, walked up to an officer at the corner of South and DeHart at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 30, and stared at the officer for several moments.
When the officer asked Beach if he was OK, Beach took a swing at the officer and then started to walk away, at which point the officer placed him under arrest, police said.
The officer then struggled with Beach for a few moments as he tried to restrain him, police said. Beach was left in the care of Morristown Medical Center nursing staff, they said.
