Cops: Morristown Woman Caught Shoplifting in Morris Plains

Lesia Lindsay, 47, of Morristown, was arrested July 16 after allegedly shoplifting at the Kohl's Plaza shopping center in Morris Plains.

Detective Jason Kohn of the said in a statement that officers were called to the shopping plaza just after 3 p.m. that day.

Detective Bruce Rapp, who responded to the scene, said that he was given a description of both the car and the alleged shoplifter by a security officer, and spotted the woman preparing to exit the parking lot. Rapp said he pulled the car over and was given identification—which was later found to be fraudulent—by Lindsay.

Rapp said the items reported stolen were found in the vehicle. Lesia Lindsay was arrested on charges of shoplifting, providing false information to a law enforcement officer and driving with a suspended license.

According to police, Lindsay was also wanted on a $500 warrant out of Madison, for which she posted bail and was released.
