Cops: Randolph Councilwoman's Son Throws 'Wild Punches' Outside Iron Bar

23-year-old arrested before he could 'injure innocent pedestrians,' Morristown Police said.

A 23-year-old Randolph man started off Thanksgiving with a trip in a squad car after exhibiting "violent behavior" outside Iron Bar, according to Morristown Police.

According to a report by Officer Anthony O'Brien, Blaise Veech, son of Randolph Councilwoman Joanne Veech, was denied entrance into Iron Bar by security due to his level of intoxication.

After arguing loudly with security, Veech walked away from the bar and began to "push and shove" individuals who were waiting in line, the report said.

O'Brien said Veech then bumped into a pedestrian on the sidewalk and attempted to challenge him to a fight before throwing "three wild punches towards an innocent pedestrian where the punches did not make contact."

"I then took hold of Veech, who appeared intoxicated, and placed him under arrest for his violent behavior before he could injure innocent pedestrians and encourage others to mimic his tumultuous behavior," O'Brien said in his report.

Veech was taken to Morristown Police Headquarters for processing and served a summons for violent behavior before being released to a sober individual pending court appearance, the report said.
