Police: Man Pushes Officer for Giving His Friend a Ticket

22-year-old charged with disorderly conduct.

A 22-year-old Stanhope man was arrested after a confrontation with police early Sunday morning, according to a report by the Morristown Police.

Vincent Borny took issue with officers asking him to step away while they were citing his friend with public urination, Officer James Krauss' reported stated.

According to Krauss' report, Borny became irate and started moving toward the officers "yelling about mandatory court appearance associated with the violation."

“I advised Mr. Borny again to move back, grabbed onto him as he continued towards me and moved him back approximately five yards. After advising Mr. Borny again to stay back, he attempted to push me towards [Officer] Gizzi while yelling about the court date. I advised Mr. Borny at that time that he was under arrest and placed him on the ground as he refused to put his hands behind his back. After a brief struggle I was able to secure Mr. Borny," Krauss said in his report.

Borny was charged with disorderly conduct.
