Drunk Man Threatens to Kill Officer, Police Say

Morristown man also tried to bite cop after being found drunk outside bar, according to police report.

A Morristown man who has had at least one previous run-in with the law was arrested again early Sunday morning when he threatened to shoot an officer in the head after being removed from the front of .

Anthony Grillo, 51, of Flagler Street, was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats at 1:55 a.m. Sunday after police were called to the bar because Grillo was allegedly trying to get inside and throwing items around in front of the building, according to Officer Eric Petr's report.

When Petr arrived, Grillo was sitting on the curb nearby at the intersection of Morris and Elm, according to the report. Grillo had a difficult time answering Petr's questions due to an apparent high level of intoxication, police said.

Grillo then fell over when asked to provide identification, according to the report.

Petr called for an ambulance and, when it arrived, Grillo became agitated and began yelling expletives, according to the report.

When they arrived at , Grillo got out of the ambulance and started yelling expletives again at Petr, then screamed that he was going to put a gun to the officer's head, according to the report.

"I'm going to put a bullet in your head and kill you. I'm a Hell's Angel, baby. You're a dead man," Grillo said to Petr, according to the report.

Grillo was seated in a wheelchair and continued to be combative and scream once inside the hospital, police said. As Petr told him to calm down, Grillo got out of the wheelchair and rushed toward Petr, who attempted to put Grillo into handcuffs, according to the report. Grillo then tried to bite the officer's forearm, according to the report. He was then turned over to medical staff.

This is not the first time Grillo has been in trouble with Morristown police. when he was found screaming and "in an altered state" in front of , according to police.
