Man Who Shot Stranger in Face Pleads Guilty to Assault

Bryan Mills could serve four-year prison term.

A Morristown man who was previously convicted of shooting a stranger in the face on Speedwell Avenue pleaded guilty to assault Tuesday after he allegedly beat a man into a concussion outside the American Legion Hall in January, according to The Daily Record.

Bryan Mills, 37, served seven years in prison on the shooting charge and could now serve a four-year term on the assault charge if Morris County Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Troiano's recommendation is carried out, The Daily Record reported.

The alleged assault took place in January in which a person, who was not identified by authorities, was beat into unconsciousness. The victim spent weeks in the hospital, but has since recovered, according to The Daily Record.
