Michael Conway Appears in Court

Conway, 19, connected to series of incidents involving Lennon Baldwin, which occurred weeks before the 15-year-old Morris Township resident's suicide on March 28.

Michael Conway, the 19-year-old adult charged, along with two juveniles in a series of incidents weeks before the suicide of Lennon Baldwin, appeared in court Monday afternoon, according to NJ.com.

Conway "should not be used as the poster boy for bullying," said his attorney, Edmund DiNoia at the hearing, according to NJ.com. "Anything he is charged with is not related to any violence or action" against Baldwin, 15, the Morristown High School freshman who was found dead in his home March 28.

As Conway is the only legal adult charged, he has been the only one of the three to face public scrutiny thus far since the Morris County Prosecutor's Office announced the charges last week. Conway has been charged with false swearing for allegedly providing false statements to police and detectives, while one juvenile was charged with assault, theft and terroristic threats, and the other juvenile with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit theft.
