Morristown Firefighter's Annual Open House Set for May

Simulations and history on display for residents May 4.

Ever wonder what the ins and outs of firefighting are like?

Now you can find out firsthand from the Morristown Fire Department when it holds its third annual Open House the first weekend in May.

On Sunday, May 4 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Speedwell Fire House, residents can firefighting demonstrations and take part in a simulated house fire that will allow children to practice their escape plan.

Free hot dogs and popcorn will be available as well as a look at the 217-year history of firefighting in Morristown.

There is no fee associated with the event and all are invited to attend. No registration required.
