Man Pulled from Dover River ID'd as Morristown Resident
Preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play.
A body pulled from the Rockaway River in Dover on Tuesday, Dec. 13, has been identified as Ibis Montoya-Masariegos, 22, of Morristown, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
According to a press release issued Sunday morning, the preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play or suspicious circumstances.
Dover police received calls shortly before 11 a.m. on Dec. 13 of a body in the river by North Sussex Street. Multiple units, including the Dover Police Department, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Section and the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office responded with the assistance of the Dover Fire Department.
Police are asking anyone who has information regarding Masariegos to contact the Dover Police Department at 973-366-0302 or the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office at 973-285-2900.
