Morristown Man Accused of Selling Cocaine Near School

Titus T. Booze, 41, faces several drug charges and is being held in the Morris County Jail on $25,000 bail.

A Morristown man has been the focus of a "lengthy criminal investigation" and is accused of dealing cocaine, including near a Wharton school the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday.

Titus T. Booze, 41, sold less than one-half ounce of a controlled dangerous substance—that later turned out to be cocaine—within 1,000 feet of Saint Mary’s School in Wharton on May 15, Acting Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said in a release.

Booze was charged with: 

  • Third-degree possession of CDS (cocaine)
  • Third-degree possession with intent to distribute CDS less than one-half ounce (cocaine)
  • Third-degree distribution of CDS less than one-half ounce (cocaine)
  • Third-degree possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school (cocaine)
  • Third-degree distribution of CDS within 1,000 feet of a school (cocaine)

Judge Michael Luther, J.M.C. set bail at $25,000 with no 10 percent with a bail source hearing requirement. Booze was unable to post bail is in the Morris County Correctional Facility. No other information was immediately available.
