Morristown Police Make Several DUI Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the Morristown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Morristown police arrested and charged the following recently with driving under the influence and related charges:

  • Police arrested and charged Ranulfo Rodriguez Lopez, 29, of Morris Plains, with driving under the influence, failure to stop at a posted sign, careless driving and being an unlicensed driver at 1:39 a.m. on Nov. 18. Police observed Lopez driving fast down Maple Avenue, turn onto Market Street without stopping at the "Stop" sign and rev its engine at the Ann Street light before later pulling over his Infiniti G35 on Water Street, according to a police incident report.
  • Police arrested and charged David Wright, 55, of Reno, NV, with driving under the influence, failure to maintain a lane and careless driving at 1:40 a.m. Nov. 17. Police observed Wright's vehicle swaying from the left to the right lanes around the Green and drive 5 m.p.h. on Washington Street (a 25 m.p.h. zone), then hit a curb turning onto Bank Street, according to ap olice incident report. Wright said he had come from with the two other passengers in his car and was looking for dinner, police said. He was later released into the custody of a friend.
  • Police arrested and charged Molly Stemmler, 29, of Chatham, with driving under the influence at 12:06 a.m. Nov. 17. Stemmler was seen by police crossing the double yellow lines on Washington Street before being pulled over across from Burnham Park, according to a police report on the incident. Stemmler told police she had had two gimlets at , police said. She was later released into the custody of a friend, police said.
