"National Night Out is a unique opportunity for police officers and the community to come together in a stress-free environment," said Capt. Gloria Sullivan of the Morris County Park Police. "It allows us to ask our citizens, 'How are we doing?'"
Members of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Morris County Juvenile Detention Center, Morris County Hazmat, Freedom House, United States Navy and many more will be on-hand during the event.

Guests can investigate the essential equipment of police, fire and emergency vehicles, such as motorcycles, ambulances, all-terrain vehicles, fire engines, squad cars and a helicopter. The horses of the Morris County Park Police's award-winning mounted equestrian unit will also be on display.
Inflatables and a U.S. Army rock wall will give visitors a chance to get active, and radio stations WMTR and WDHA will provide the tunes. Other free attractions include ice skating, giveaways, food and drink.
The NJ Devil—mascot of the New Jersey Devils—will be available, and guests will have the opportunity to get an autograph from Grant Marshall, a former player of the hockey team.
The Morris County Park Police will also provide free child identification cards—an initiative launched in 2000 that registers more than 1,000 children annually.
For the last three years, the National Association of Town Watch has named the Morris County National Night Out event a National Award Winner.
Last year, more than 5,000 people attended, according to Sullivan, and organizers are hoping for the same turnout this year.
