Several Charged With DWIs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Morristown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Morristown police charged the following people with driving while intoxicated and other charges recently:

  • Police arrested and charged Joseph Squillace, 59, of Western Avenue, with driving while intoxicated at 9:55 p.m. on Oct. 6. Police observed Squillace talking on his cell phone without a hands-free device at the corner of Morris and Spring streets and then pull into 66 Morris St., at which time an officer conducted a stop, according to a police incident report. Smelling alcohol on Squillace's breath, police conducted field sobriety tests and subsequently charged him with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and using cell phone without hands-free device, according to the report. He was later released into the custody of a friend, according to the police report.
  • Police arrested and charged Sarah Garretson, 23, of Morris Plains, with driving while intoxicated and failure to observe signal at 11:51 p.m. on Oct. 6. Police observed Garretson drive through a red light at the Green and continue onto Speedwell Avenue, according to a police incident report. She was later released into the custody of a family member, the report said.
  • Police arrested and charged Nicole Moran, 23, of Budd Lake, with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and failure to stop at 1:24 a.m. on Oct. 7. Police observed Moran roll through the stop signs at both the intersection of DeHart Street and Maple Avenue, and Maple Avenue and Market Street, before pulling her over, according to a police incident report. She was later released into the custody of a friend, the report stated.
