Tornado, Flash Flood watch Issued for Morristown

NOAA announced a flash flood and tornado watch for northern New Jersey, including Morris County. The tornado watch will continue to 10 p.m. Thursday night and the flash flood watch will continue through to 6 a.m. Friday

With thunder rumbling in the distance, Morristown Police Department issued the following statement:

Tornado Watch by National Weather service for our area until 10 p.m. Strong thunderstorms with gusting winds
Morris County Office of Emergency Management also sent out a warning to all residents of a possible tornado warning and "to secure any outside furniture. 

The National Weather Service said precipitation is 80 percent and that rain could be heavy at times.
