Weapons Charge Indictment Latest for Alleged Bully

The man accused of lying about his knowledge regarding the robbery of 15-year-old Lennon Baldwin in the Century 21 parking lot—which preceded Baldwin's suicide at his Morris Township home later that month—was among three Morristown men indicted Tuesday on a weapons charge, according to a Star-Ledger article.

Michael Conway, 19, along with Marcus Liles, 20, and J’Money Wright-Baxter, 18, were indicted on one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to the article.

Conway, Baxter, Liles and an unnamed juvenile were charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia in August when a BB gun was found in the backseat of Conway's car.

The August incident occurred as lawyers for Conway sought to enter him into a Pre-Trial Intervention program for first time offenders. A Morris County grand jury indicted Conway back in October, charging the Morristown resident with false swearing by giving authorities misinformation between April 6 and April 18 after he vowed to tell the truth.

His charges, and those handed down to the two others, stemmed from several bullying incidents against Baldwin—first at Morristown High School and later in the Century 21 department store parking lot. Authorities have argued that the high school freshman's March 28 suicide was a result of those acts. Conway pleaded not guilty to those false swearing charges earlier this month.

Ultimately, the two still publicly-unidentified men took plea deals at the end of July, resulting in one-year probation sentences.

Conway is scheduled to again appear in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown on the false swearing charges on Jan. 7.
