Beat the Heat at Morristown Cooling Center

The cooling center is at Town Hall and is open during normal business hours

With the heat index rising beyond 100 this week in Morristown, Mayor Timothy Dougherty is taking precautions by opening a “Cooling Center” for residents.

The Cooling Center will be in the Town’s Senior Citizen Center on the 3rd floor of the municipal building, 200 South Street. The center will operate during normal business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. and will continue until the excessive heat  subsides. The Town Hall Lobby will remain open until 7 p.m. If necessary, hours will be extended.

Morristown residents needing assistance should call the Senior Center at 973-292-6690 or visit the Town website for more information www.Townofmorristown.org
