If you choose instead to go to the Town Council meeting, here are a couple of items to keep on your radar.

  1. The Budget: The Morris School District is not the only ones with a budget. The town will present its budget for Fiscal Year 2012 at Tuesday's council meeting.
  2. Sidewalk Cafes: Morristown is known, among other things, for its dining. As the weather warms, it becomes known for its outdoor dining. An ordinance  set for review and approval amends and supplements the code for sidewalk cafe licenses, changing it from April 1-Oct. 31 to all year, weather permitting, except for "parade days," according to the ordinance.
  3. Sewer Pipe Replacement on Abbett Avenue: A resolution authorizing the replacement of additional defective sewer pipes "to provide a safe and reliable sanitary sewer system on Abbett Avenue" is on the agenda.
  4. Under 'New Business:' Discussion is planned as to "whether Council wishes a Planning Board site plan or will consider liquor transfer with submitted drawings – Gracie Sunshine (Old Colonial License) to a 'to be built' building at 10 Dehart."
