Councilwoman Named Executive Director for County Economic Group

Rebecca Feldman named Executive Director of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation.

Councilwoman Rebecca Feldman, who , recently was named executive director of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), a division of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.

Rebecca Feldman of Morristown has been named executive director of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC), a division of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.  MCEDC is a public/ private partnership supported by the private sector and the Morris County Freeholders and dedicated to growing the economy of Morris County.

Feldman has experience in both the private and public sectors.  She worked in a variety of corporate positions at Goody Products, Inc.; Sunbeam-Oster; and Pantone Inc.  She also served as president of the Washington’s Headquarters Neighborhood Association, as an advisory council member of United Way and founder of the Morristown branch of Girls On The Run, a program to inspire healthy life styles for preteen girls.

“Rebecca’s private sector product development and marketing experience and her public service as a member of the Planning Board and Town Council in Morristown make her uniquely qualified to lead our effort to preserve and grow investment and jobs in Morris County,” said Paul Boudreau, chamber president.  Throughout her career she has demonstrated leadership and the ability to collaborate with others to make things happen.  She will be an excellent addition to our team.”

Christie’s Partnership for Action is promoting economic growth and job creation statewide,” Feldman said.  “Our board and staff are ready to embark on new initiatives that will market Morris County’s many assets to retain existing businesses and attract new ones.  Having lived and worked in seven northern New Jersey counties I am looking forward to marketing the many unique quality advantages of Morris County.“

Feldman is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor of science degree in industrial design and the executive course, Building and Leveraging Brand Equity, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
