Tonight's 7:30 p.m. meeting will include material from postponed Sept. 27 meeting.

What's better than one town council meeting? How about two, count them, two town council meetings.

Well, that's not exactly what's happening at 7:30 p.m. tonight. What is happening is the hearing of agenda items from the Sept. 27 meeting, which was postponed, with additional (some might say "bonus") material added since then.

For your pleasure, which gives five items from that postponed agenda. Then, check out these five additional items to put on your radar before heading over to Town Hall tonight.

  1. You Need to Know About the Enclosed PDF: It includes, in bold, items from the Sept. 27 agenda, and new items for the Oct. 11 meeting.
  2. You Need to Know About St. Peter's Episcopal Church: That beautiful building was consecrated 100 years ago. Town Council will present a resolution to that effect.
  3. You Need to Know About 32 Years: That is how long Marguerite Mack has served as a crossing guard in Morristown. Mayor Tim Dougherty will be presenting Mack a certificate of appreciation for her service.
  4. You Need to Know About $400,000: That is the amount of money in appropriations council is expected to vote on tonight, to go toward emergency repairs to Patriots Path and , damaged as a result
  5. You Need to Know About Veterans Park: Well, perhaps not for long. A resolution is on the agenda authorizing the renaming of Veterans Park to J. Robert Tracey Veterans Memorial Park.
