Eleven to Vie for Council Seats in June Primary

The deadline to register to run was 4 p.m. Monday, April 11.

When Morristown voters head to the polls on June 7, they will have a wide slate of candidates to consider in primary elections.

Eleven people, including several incumbents and members of other town government offices, have thrown their hats into the ring for four open seats on the Morristown Town Council.

In Ward 1, Democrat Christopher Kehrli is running unopposed in the primary election. He will, however, have to face incumbent Independent council member Rebecca Feldman in November who, as an "unaffiliated" Independent candidate in New Jersey, is not required to run in the primary election.
