Garbage Collection in Town Cancelled for Tuesday

The Town of Morristown issued a few updates late Monday morning as the area waited for the brunt of Sandy's force.

Municipal Court is cancelled for Monday, with all cases to be rescheduled. Court notices will be mailed. Court will reopen as weather permits.

Also, if you're in a zone whose garbage is picked up on Tuesday, you're out of luck as the town has cancelled collections for that day. You won't have to wait long, however, as a makeup collection day is expected on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Morris Township officials had previously stated garbage collection there also would not happen Tuesday, with an expected makeup collection date on Wednesday.
