Grow it Green Nominated for State Honor

New Jersey Governor's Excellence Awards to be held in Trenton on Dec. 8.

Grow it Green Morristown, the organization responsible for both the and , will be recognized for its efforts by the state on Dec. 8.

The complete letter, from the state Department of Environmental Protection, is below:

Congratulations! You have been selected as a winner/honorable mention for the 2011 New Jersey Governor's Environmental Excellence Awards.

I am writing to invite you and your colleagues or family to attend the Governor's New Jersey Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony and reception. The event will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 5:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. in the main gallery of the New Jersey State Museum, 205 West State Street, Trenton NJ (directions enclosed).

Participation in this event will be limited, and all attendee names will need to be submitted in advance of the event date. Please RVSP no later than November 28th with the na les of the individuals attending the event. Each award recipient will be permitted to bring up to three guests.

During the formal portion of the program, you or a representative of your organization will be invited to accept the award from the Governor and the Commissioner. Following he program, we will provide additional opportunities for you and your colleagues to take photos.

Also at this year's ceremony there will be the opportunity for you to have poster display about your project, if you would like. This poster should be of a size that can fit on an easel (approximately 24" by 36"). The posters will be on display during the awards reception so attendees can learn more about your project.
