Anthony Carbone retires after 25 years, three firefighters sworn in.

Three firefighters were sworn into the Morristown Fire Department during Tuesday’s council meeting.

Richard Mikutsky was sworn in as fire captain while Kevin Morse, who was hired in January, and Scott Loyek received the oath as full-time firefighters.

Prior to the three firefighters being sworn in by Deputy Clerk Robin Kesselmeyer, Acting Fire Chief Robert Flanagan recognized Morristown Fire Marshal Anthony Carbone, who is retiring after 25 years with the bureau.

“We in the fire bureau are proud to have served alongside Tony,” Flanagan said. “He’s a person who takes pride in serving his community.”
