Gracie Sunshine LLC, which includes members of the same Walsh family that owns nearby businesses , and , have proposed a bowling alley that also would serve as a bar and restaurant at 10 DeHart St. The business owners are looking to transfer an already-existing liquor license to the property, where they would either transfer the historic home that currently resides there or, as a last resort, demolish it.
Christopher Knoll, one of the co-owners of the proposed destination, said at that there would be two floors to the complex, each one featuring restaurant tables, a bar and six bowling lanes apiece. Knoll also mentioned that roof access would be permitted, on a seasonal basis, to patrons ages 25 and up, who would also have the opportunity to enjoy bar facilities on the proposed building’s rooftop.
Residents, business owners and Town Council (which also acts as the ABC Commission in Morristown) have expressed concerns with the proposed project, including additional traffic, trash and other disturbances in a part of town that already is packed with several alcohol-serving businesses.
