" I think the weather might have something to do with it, it gets people out of the house," said Desjadon, who is in her 10th year of working the elections.

Also seen at Thomas Jefferson was Janet Sullivan, a neighbor of Alison Deeb, who is seeking her second term on Town Council. "She is always visible and I like what she has done," Sullivan said. "I really don't know much about the challenger (Democrat Denis Ciklic) and what his positions are."

Also putting forth their support for the incumbent in the Fourth Ward was Dan Tammaro, who credited Deeb "for her responsiveness in dealing with Hurricane Irene," he said. "My neighborhood was sitting in the dark and no one had any answers and when I contacted Alison via email, she was quick to get us answers."

Tammaro said he tries to stay informed and tries to vote when he can and felt it was important to come out and show his support for the candidates. "She really seems to care about the people she represents," he said.

Retired Iraq war veteran Edwin Vega she he felt it was important to show his support by working the polls. "The newer generation needs to get out and vote and volunteer in the voting process," said the lifetime Morristown resident. "It's the responsibility of everyone to get out and vote. We saw the mayor's (Tim Dougherty) wife, Mary Dougherty (also the Morristown Democratic Committee Chair), earlier when she came in to vote and to say 'hi' to all of us working the polls."
