Morristown Councilman's Resignation: "Pleasure Working with You"

Democratic committee has 15 days to recommend 3 people to the council, which has 15 days from then to select a replacement.

Kevin Gsell officially stepped down from his Morristown council seat this Monday. Because he's moving to Morris Township, vacancy law applies and he has to resign from the council. 

“Kevin Gsell resigned his position because he bought a house in Morris Township,” said Matt Stechauner, Morristown Town Clerk. “On Monday, the 8th, he sent an email essentially memorializing the fact (that he’s resigned). It means that there’s a vacancy.”

Here's the email he sent to Stechauner on Monday right before 10 a.m.:

Hi Matt,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, we officially moved in this weekend and have been crazy running around and getting settled in. I dropped off my tablet on Wilma's desk as I am officially resigning as a councilman in Morristown. Is there anything else you need from me?
