Occupy This Space: The Hole Next to Pazzo Pazzo

It's looked bombed out for years. What would you like to see replace this empty space?

It seems kind of out of place, doesn't it? While much of Morristown appears to be seeing a business rennaissance, this space, next to and across from , has been–literally–a hole for years.

Once a building that eventually had to be torn down because it was no longer structurally sound, it today collects various detritus from behind a green fence. Directly next to the outdoor dining area of the Pazzo Pazzo restaurant, one can almost see this space used as space for a garden to supply the eatery with some seasonal produce. Or, even, an expansion of their already-popular outdoor facilities.

And, yet, a hole it remains.

Instead of a hole, what would you like to see this bombed out space become? Are you optimistic of its future, considering where it's located and the generally positive development going on in town as of late? Chime in below.

Small barbecue restaurant, even if it's 100% takeout. The town needs some good BBQ.

Expansion of pazzo pazzos patio please!!!

I like the patio expansion idea !! We don't have a good BBQ place, so that too is a great suggestion. I think a really good sandwich shop is needed in Motown, we are really lacking a good sub shop, those we do have are lousy.

Wine/tapas bar.

You must try longfellow's subs. They are a little hole in the wall down speedwell, but we have found that they make the best subs in town at great prices. After we discovered them, we haven't gone anywhere else.

This town definitely needs tapas and Sangria, I can't believe nobody has thought of this idea yet!!

Who owns the real estate? Why is it still full of detritus? Why haven't they cleaned it up?
Chris March 12, 2012 at 03:56 PM
Yeah, really. Morristown should fine the owner on grounds that they need to keep their property neat and orderly. I am sure there is some ordinance on the books that regards to beautification of the town or simply property maintenance. What if everyone in town allowed their property to deteriorate like this?

I believe it is owned by Berger, who owns lots of real estate in town, and he and his family don't give to sh&ts about Morristown. They were the same people that kept storefronts empty for years on the green, own that crap hole Yo & papas (that would never have had business if not for the outdoor patio) ....
