Police: Progress Being Made, Schools Open Thursday

If Morris School District students thought they might get to sleep in yet another day, think again.

The Morristown Police Department issued a notice via the Nixle.com alert service Wednesday afternoon letting people know, among other things, that the Morris School District would finally reopen on Thursday at its normal time. School has been closed all week, as a result of damage and power outages from the region's late-October snowstorm over last weekend.

In addition, the alert stated JCP&L was making progress with power restoration in the region, and that Morristown's warming station, at the in , would remain open until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
