Question: What Do You Think of the Speedwell Redevelopment Plan?

Look through it, look through the supplied notes, voice your opinion.

On Thursday, Aug. 18, the Town Council introduced the amended Speedwell Redevelopment Plan before an audience of about three dozen people. Since it was an introduction, there was no public hearing on the matter (though, that did not stop people from speaking about it during the public portion).

The public now has until Sept. 15 to wrap their hands fully around the plan, which now includes the restoration of several existing structures (instead of complete demolition), wider sidewalks and 10 percent affordable housing (instead of the previously proposed 5 percent). But, at 59 pages, the Amended Speedwell Redevelopment Plan is a lot to absorb.

Which leads us to our "Question of the Day (which, we will likely re-feature periodically, leading up to Sept. 15):" What do you think of the Speedwell Redevelopment Plan? Is it good? Is it better than before? If it's better, is it better enough to be passed? Chime in below?
