  1. $5.2 Million: It's a lot of money. The town is seeking to refund the last five years of the outstanding Series 2002A Capital Improvement Bonds, totaling $5.2 million. Refinancing these bonds at a lower interest rate, according to the agenda, "may potentially save the Town approximately $180,000 in debt service payments."
  2. Volunteer Firefighters: Gregory Bohus and Carl Logan have applied to be volunteer firefighters for Morristown. Approval of their applications will be addressed at the meeting.
  3. Surplus Property: The town is planning on getting rid of a 1989 Chevy Caprice and 1996 Dodge van, no longer needed for public use, via online auction. If you're in the market for a new (used) set of wheels, you may want to inquire further.
  4. Safe Schools Grant: Current Planning Board member, and soon-to-be councilman, Stefan Armington seeks to apply for a grant to fund traffic calming measures as part of a Safe Routes to School program for . A resolution is being sought, supporting the submission of application.
  5. Be There at 7:30 p.m.: These meetings tend to start pretty much on time. If you have any issue not related to anything on the agenda, you'll need to speak during the earlier "public portion" of the meeting. So, make sure you get there at 7:30 p.m.
