With the top ranked team out of the playoffs after a 2-point loss, the No Idea Sports men's basketball championship was blown wide open. CO's and Designated Drinkers took full advantage of their opportunities in the postseason, winning their games by small margins.

The first half of the game got off to a slow start, with the half ending with CO's up by 2 points, 17-15.

At the start of the second half, Designated Drinkers scored right away to tie the score. But, the CO's took a 9-point lead to go up 28-15. With 11:30 left, it was the Designated Drinkers time to score; they would get within 4 points of the CO's, down 28-24. A few minutes later, the Designated Drinkers were only 1 point away from tying the game when a CO player fouled one of their players. With the free throw a success, the game was tied.

It was a dramatic ending to the championship as the CO's had a chance to come back at the free throw line, but missed both and were unable to score for the remainder of the game. Designated Drinkers took the championship home, beating the CO's, 36-28.
