Hits and Home Runs Featured in No Idea Softball Championship

Would the Peaches redeem themselves after last season's heartbreaking championship loss or would the Beautiful People's Club take the title?

Last season, the Peaches lost the championship in a heartbreaker. Three outs from winning the championship, the team couldn't get the 3 outs they needed to seal the win and ended up losing by 1 run.

When they made it to the championship this season, they were determined not to lose again.

With top-seeded Beautiful People's Club in the field first, the Peaches put up 5 runs, with 4 of them coming from 2 separate 2-run home runs. The score remained 5-0 until the bottom of the second when the bats of the Beautiful People's Club got hot and they scored 3 runs on a home run and then tacked on 3 more to go up 6-5.

By the end of the third inning, the score was tied at 7 with the Peaches up to bat. They scored twice and held the Beautiful People's Club to 0 runs in the fourth to maintain their lead, 9-7. The home runs continued in the fifth inning, as the Peaches had a 2-run and solo home run, to add on to their 2 additonal runs that inning to extend their lead, 14-8, at the end of the fifth.

With the same score going into the seventh and final inning, the Peaches padded their lead, scoring 3 more runs. With one more chance to tie up the game, hope reemerged for the Beautiful People's Club as they scored on a 2-run homer and a solo homer to get within 6. But, that would be all the offense the Beautiful People's Club had left in them as the Peaches redeemed themselves this season, winning by a final of 17-11.
