Runs, Hits Galore in No Idea Sports' Softball Championship

The final score for No Idea's softball championship totaled almost 40 runs. Find out who came out on top of the offensive battle.

Morristown's version of the Fall Classic was played Sunday afternoon at Challenger Field, as the undefeated Bad News Beers took on Caught Looking in No Idea Sports' softball final.

Revenge was on the mind of Caught Looking going into the championship game as 2 of their 3 regular season losses came to the Bad News Beers, coming up short by 1 run each time the teams met.

The third meeting between the teams would produce a different outcome.

Picking up where they left off when the scored 23 runs in the semi-final, Caught Looking went on an offensive explosion in the championship game, putting up 7 runs in the first inning and 3 more in the second. The Bad News Beers wouldn't go quietly though, scoring 9 total runs in the first and second innings, making it a 10-9 game.

The rally was short lived though as the Bad News Bears would only go on to score 4 more runs in the game, which wasn't enough to match the 15 runs Caught Looking would put up in the remaining innings, making the final score 25-13.

Caught Looking voted Eric Mercado team MVP, coming up with clutch hits and RBIs even after suffering a knee injury trying to round a double play at second base.

Congratulations to the Bad News Beers and Caught Looking on a fun and exciting championship! Thanks to our 2 other teams, Come Get Some and The Replacements for playing this season.
