Sheri Ventura, the coordinator of Distance Learning Services at the County College of Morris, was recently presented the 2012 Community College Spirit award from the New Jersey Council of County Colleges.
“I am pleased to be recognized for my participation and leadership,” said Ventura. “I also would like to thank and recognize the distance learning professionals and academic officers across New Jersey. It is their dedication and commitment to excellence that have allowed us to maintain a successful distance education consortium to benefit community college students.”
Ventura is a resident of Newton, NJ, and has served as distance education coordinator at CCM since 2004. She is responsible for administrative aspects of distance learning, which include courses that include streaming video and web-based instruction.
“Since its inauguration in 1993, the Community College Spirit Award has been an honor bestowed to those who embody the community college spirit – perseverance, dedication and excellence,” said NJCCC Vice Chair Helen Albright.
