Morristown High School Hockey Thumps Chatham in Shutout

Goals come from four different players in 4-0 victory.

The hockey team was the visitor at Mennen Arena in a game against Chatham Monday afternoon. Chatham could not get anything started against the much stronger Colonial team.

Luke Freeland started the Colonial scoring in the first period on an assist from Tommy Donofrio.  Goals by Jack Szary, Jordan Klotz and Zach Mourad rounded out the scoring in the Mennen Division rout.

Shane Brown, goalie - Freshman Brown posted a shutout on 14 shots by the Cougars.  "For a freshman to have a shutout against a team like Chatham is huge," said Morristown coach Bobby Jones.

Luke Freeland - Freeland started the Colonial scoring in the 1st period, Zach Mourad - Mourad scored a goal and added two assists.

"We've won two Mennen Division games in a row.  Our goal today was to make a statement, play good hockey and get to the level we know we can play.  Our goal was accomplished.  We had a full team game." - Morristown head coach Bobby Jones
