Basic Home Repair Workshops

Help Yourself While Helping Morris Habitat for Humanity!

Thursday Evening Workshop Series October 7 - November 18   6:30-7:30pm

As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, Morris Habitat for Humanity will be offering six Thursday evening workshops at its ReStore in Mine Hill to prepare you to do basic repairs or upgrades in your home. Learn about the basic tools essential for any toolbox (and how to use them) , easy plumbing fixes, giving your kitchen a facelift, painting like an expert, saving on electrical costs, and patching holes/spackling. These are great to know skills that will come in handy if you are a new or about to be homeowner, a renter, or just someone who is tired of getting someone else to do the work! Each workshop is being led by an expert in the field and will cost $10 per session (or $50 for all six). In addition, attendees will receive a 40% off coupon for any ReStore item priced at $200 or less. Help Habitat and help yourself too by registering for one or all of the sessions.  Go to www.morrishabitat.org under "Upcoming Events" in the right-hand column on the front screen.  Fill out the registration form and pay by credit card via PayPal (indicate number of workshop in comment box).  You can also pick up a registration form at the ReStore at 102 Iron Mountain Road, Mine Hill from Wednesday Saturday, 10am-4pm and Thursdays until 8pm.  Space is limited, so register early. All proceeds benefit Morris Habitat.  For further information call Pat Bomus at 973-891-1934.
