FSMC Substance Abuse Education and Prevention Program for Adolescents and Teens

Today's teens are at risk. They are under a great deal of pressure and the accessibility of dangerous substances is greater than ever. Family Service of Morris County’s (FSMC) NOW YOU KNOW Program is a substance abuse education and prevention program where Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Specialists work with teens and adolescents in a casual group setting to discuss peer pressure; physical and emotional consequences of using drugs, alcohol and tobacco; and current laws regarding underage use. Parents also meet together in a separate group with a counselor to explore how to best support their teens to keep them on the right track. The program is offered at no cost to residents of Morris County.  The next session 2-evening session will meet  on Monday, August 1 and Tuesday, August 2 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Family Service of Morris County 62 Elm Street Morristown, NJ 07960.   To register, or for more information, contact Sylvia Lippe, MA, LCADC, CPS at (973) 538-5327, ext. 141 slippe@fsmc.org or Kelly Sallie at (973) 538-5327 ext. 142 ksallie@fsmc.org.  Learn more about FSMC!
