Register Now! Upcoming Volunteer Training for Jersey Battered Women's Service

Jersey Battered Women’s Service is offering a training for community members who are interested in volunteering with victims of domestic violence.  The 40-hour training is being held on Fridays beginning 9:30am-4:30pm from September 23 through November 4, in a confidential location in the Morristown area.  Prior knowledge of domestic violence is not required. Bi-lingual capability is a plus.

Volunteers who complete the training will have the opportunity to volunteer with Jersey Battered Women’s Service in a number of ways, including answering the 24 hour Helpline, which provides support to victims and their families looking for information about domestic violence and services available; assisting with our children’s
program; becoming a mentor to current clients; or volunteering with local police departments as a Crisis Response Team member.

To request an application or more information, please visit our website at www.jbws.org or email the Volunteer Manager at kjohnson@jbws.org.
