Julia Kiel, a friend of Lennon's, shared this story about Lennon and how "his smile would be enough to make me smile too:"

Lennon worked with me over the summer at Diamond Gymnastics Day Camp in East Hanover. We used to talk alot, not outside of the camp but inside the camp. I would usually see him walking around in town. We wouldnt say much but his smile would be enough to make me smile too. He will be missed by so many people, including his family, and also including me and my mom, the ones who talked to him a couple days to a week ago. I never got to say goodbye to him. If i knew this would happen, i would have hugged him or something. But all i did was a smile, the last thing i basically said to him. I just wanted to share this memory with you.

Condolences for Lennon's loved ones filled Twitter Thursday and Friday. A friend of Lennon's posted this video to YouTube, speed-drawing Lennon, as a tribute. In his caption on YouTube, the friend writes: "Lennon was a great kid. he was hilarious and always had a way of putting a smile on your face. he was easy to talk to and just a great guy all around. Its sad to know he left so sudden, but I know hes in a better and safer place. I'm sure he'll be watching down on his friends and family."

Another friend posted a brief, muted YouTube video of himself skateboarding that included the words, "Rest in peace dude. No music, moment of silence."

In a third video, a friend posted a video tribute to Lennon, via skateboarding.
