Morris School District Schools to Reopen Wednesday

Students will have missed over a week of classes.

Morris School District schools will finally reopen for class on Wednesday.

Mary Donohoe, a representative with the school district, said the decision had been made Monday afternoon to keep schools closed for one more day and to reopen on Nov. 7.

Several schools had remained without power as of Monday morning, including several elementary schools and Frelinghuysen Middle School. The NJEA teacher's convention, originally scheduled for this week, has been cancelled. As a result, the Morris School District Board of Education voted last week to have schools open during those days, as long as there were no issues related to Hurricane Sandy damage.
